"The art displayed in this collection symbolizes a passionate critique of a system that's supposed to work for us." - Founder of Void Articles, Brandon Love
EATEN BY FLOWERS - "The 'EATEN BY FLOWERS' spray paint on the ground, that's from when I was taking a walk during my work day and noticed that on a corner in the Melrose / Fairfax District of Los Angeles.
I was intrigued because it immediately made me think about the quote "The rose that grew from concrete", like that's a step after growing from the concrete, the rose, or flowers, are now eating the very thing that they were never even intended to sprout from." - Brandon Love
YOUR TAXES KILL KIDS - "This was obviously an eye catcher. I wanted to include this because it is especially relevant to me. I echo the same sentiment as millions of black men in this country when I say that my encounters with law enforcement since I was young have been a violation.
This piece reminded me that tax dollars are funding public services like the military, police, and even poorly run public education - there's kid's blood on those institutions hands" - Brandon love
Baby Trump 'Merica Eat Again' Cap - "This was just flat out funny. I seen this while walking through an alley in LA. I'm not sure if the cap being cutoff like that was intentional, but that's how I saw it, so that's how I captured it.
Foreigners think Americans are way too obsessed with food, which I love food, so yeah that was ironic as hell. And with Trump being inaugurated this coming Monday, can't make it up haha.
I do think people in Los Angeles act weird when Trump gets in office. Either way we have to get up and work.
This piece is pretty raunchy to me too." - Brandon Love
